Said to be the most played game on earth.  Xiangqi woul seemingly then have a wide variety of pieces.  Well it does, and it doesn't.  The variety mostly is in the writing style of the characters and the material with which they are made.

But there is also a wide range of figural sets as well, although not nearly as common.

Personally I really like the ox horn pieces written in 篆書体 style writing.

Almost the images/photos on the site were created by Chris Bogert.

(with the exception of a few patterns and pieces in images and gallery section.)
